What can I do about the skin blemishes on my face?

This is a question that I get asked often. There are all sorts of blemishes of the skin including acne, redness, blood vessels, age spots and pigmentation due to sun exposure. There are also many approaches to treating these types of spots. In this day and age, we are lucky that there are so many helpful products. Prescription creams given to you by your physician can gently improve these conditions. Chemical peels and micro-dermabrasion are also excellent means of gradual improvement. They tend to improve the tone of the skin and rejuvenate or maintain the youthful appearance of the skin.

At TMJ Medical we carry an Acne Healing System, and a line of skin home care products. These can only be attained in a doctor's office and are different and more specialized than the products that you purchase from pharmacies, cosmetic centers or spas.

One of the most exciting technologies is called intense pulse light (IPL). This light targets pigment and blood vessels. After several treatments, significant improvement can be seen.
